A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Patrick Connolly joined The Cleveland Orchestra in 1988. Before coming to Cleveland, Mr. Connolly served as principal viola of the Denver Symphony and the Santa Fe Opera, as well as associate principal viola of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Filarmonica de las Americas Mexico City. He also played in the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony. Mr. Connolly studied with Joseph de Pasquale and Kathy Jarret. He plays a Sergio Peresson viola made in Philadelphia in 1981 and a Helmuth Keller viola made in Philadelphia in 1978.
