Kevin Switalski has been a member of The Cleveland Orchestra since 1992. Prior to joining the Orchestra, he was the principal bass of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Mr. Switalski received a bachelor of music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music. He has studied with Roger M. Scott and Theodor W. Mayer. Mr. Switalski is a double bass coach for the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra. He has appeared as a soloist with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Switalski enjoys traveling with his wife as well as a variety of outdoor activities such as walking, jogging, bicycling, shoveling snow, and Swaroopa yoga. He also enjoys watching NHL hockey, stamp collecting, and gardening.
